Meet Stephanie (Provisional Psychologist)

Services offered:

  • 1:1 psychology
  • Learning and ADHD assessments

Steph believes every child already has many strengths—they sometimes just need the right support and encouragement to recognise them. She loves helping children build confidence, develop resilience and discover that they're capable of more than they might believe.

She especially enjoys supporting children experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem and confidence challenges, as well as neurodivergent children and young people. Drawing on her experience across schools, behaviour support and the NDIS sector, Steph understands that every child is different. Her sessions are warm, engaging and tailored to each child's individual strengths, interests and goals, creating a space where children and families feel genuinely heard and understood.

Families often appreciate Steph's warmth, empathy and positive energy. She values building strong relationships with both children and parents, recognising that meaningful progress happens when everyone feels listened to and works together. Rather than telling families what to do, Steph sees therapy as a partnership—combining evidence-based knowledge with the expertise parents already have about their own child.

Steph especially enjoys supporting...

  •  Anxiety and emotional wellbeing
  • Confidence and self-esteem
  • Neurodivergent children and young people
  • Building resilience and coping skills
  • Parent coaching and family support
  • Strengths-based therapy

One thing Steph wishes every family knew...

"Parents are the experts on their child. My role is to offer guidance, evidence-based knowledge and support—not to tell you how to parent. We'll work together to find what works best for your family."

Away from the therapy room...

Outside of Playology, Steph enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading a good book, playing netball and heading to the footy. At home she's kept company by her two much-loved cats, Lola Mary and Leo. Fun fact: she can ride a unicycle, although it's been quite a few years since she's last put that talent to the test! One day she'd love to spend time exploring Europe.
