Meet Mel (Speech Pathologist)

Mel is an experienced Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) whose background spans private practice and the not-for-profit sector. She also brings experience in mentoring and supporting other Speech Pathologists, alongside her work with children and families.

Mel loves partnering with families from the very beginning of their therapy journey. She especially enjoys supporting young children and their families, with particular interests in early communication and language development, feeding and orofacial myology. She also loves facilitating group programs and helping children build skills through meaningful, engaging experiences.

Mel’s sessions are playful, collaborative and tailored to each child, while giving parents practical tools and strategies they can use beyond the therapy room. She believes the best outcomes happen when children feel comfortable, families feel supported and therapy connects with everyday life.

Alongside her clinical and leadership experience, Mel has a genuine love of learning and continues to build her knowledge and skills. She loves working alongside families to understand what matters to them and helping children build skills that make a meaningful difference in their everyday lives.

If there's one thing to know about Mel, it's that she absolutely loves food and is always keen to try somewhere new. Outside of work you'll often find her exploring Melbourne's restaurants, practising yoga, learning pickleball or golf, heading to comedy shows or musicals, or tackling an escape room with friends.
