Mariam believes every child has incredible potential, and she loves helping families discover the strengths that are already there. Whether she's supporting a child's communication, feeding or early development, her goal is always the same—to help children participate more confidently in the moments that matter most.
As a Speech Pathologist, Mariam especially enjoys working with young children and their families, with interests in early intervention, feeding, autism, developmental disability and orofacial myology. She believes the best outcomes happen when therapy feels collaborative, practical and connected to everyday life, empowering the people who know a child best to feel confident supporting them long after a session has finished.
Families often describe Mariam as warm, nurturing and approachable. She loves celebrating the "aha!" moments—whether that's a child communicating in a new way, trying a new food, or a parent suddenly seeing their child's strengths from a different perspective. For Mariam, those moments are what make her work so rewarding.
"I'm not the expert on your child—you are. My role is to share what I know, learn alongside you, and work together to help your child thrive."
When she's not at Playology, Mariam is usually outdoors—walking, hiking, camping or enjoying a beach holiday with her family. She loves cooking and creating beautiful meals to share with the people she loves, and at home she's kept entertained by her two adorable bunnies, Florence (who looks just like the Easter Bunny) and Maisy, whose quirky personality keeps everyone smiling. One day, she'd love to spend more time travelling overseas and exploring the world with her family.
