Bernice is a big believer in celebrating the small wins. Whether it's trying something new, mastering a tricky skill or simply feeling a little more confident, she loves helping children recognise their own progress and build on the strengths they already have.

As an Occupational Therapist, Bernice especially enjoys supporting children with sensory processing and regulation, fine motor development, executive functioning, play and school readiness. She has a particular interest in early intervention and loves using play to create sessions that are fun, engaging and meaningful. Bernice also values working alongside parents and educators, helping the important adults in a child's life better understand what supports them to participate and thrive.

Bernice brings an encouraging, patient and practical style to her sessions, with plenty of fun along the way. She wants children to enjoy coming to therapy and to feel that she's someone firmly in their corner. Rather than measuring progress only by the big milestones, Bernice notices and celebrates the little steps along the way—because those little steps often add up to something pretty significant.

Bernice rarely seems to sit still! Outside of Playology, she enjoys Pilates, sport, singing, dancing, crafts and travelling, as well as settling in to watch a good drama. She can even switch roles from Pilates participant to instructor, and has a knack for creating content for Instagram. Switzerland is firmly on her travel wish list, and she's also a fan of Bridgerton, K-pop, cheesecake and just about anything in a matcha-green or pastel colour palette.
