Meet Alex (Occupational Therapist)

Portrait of a woman with long dark hair smiling.

Services offered:

  • 1:1 occupational therapy
  • Assessments, including Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA)

Alex loves helping children discover that there isn't just one "right" way to do things. As an Occupational Therapist, she enjoys working alongside children, families and educators to find practical solutions that help everyday life feel a little easier, more successful and more enjoyable.

She especially enjoys supporting children and families to build independence, confidence and participation in the activities that matter most to them. Alex believes therapy is most effective when it extends beyond the clinic room, so she places a strong emphasis on partnering with parents, providing practical strategies, and adapting environments to help children succeed in their everyday lives.

Families appreciate Alex's honest, collaborative approach. She knows that therapy isn't always a straight line, and that's okay. Sometimes the plan changes, sometimes there are unexpected detours, and sometimes the answer is different to what everyone hoped for. Alex believes navigating those moments together is all part of the journey, and she's there to support families every step of the way.

Alex especially enjoys supporting...

  •  Building independence in everyday activities
  • Neurodivergent children and young people
  • Working collaboratively with parents and educators
  • Environmental modifications and practical strategies
  • Developing skills that support participation at home, school and in the community
  • Preschool and primary school age ranges

One thing Alex wishes every family knew...

"Therapy is an adventure. Sometimes we take unexpected detours, and that's okay. We don't have all the answers, but we'll work alongside you to find the path that's right for your child."

Away from the therapy room...

Alex loves curling up with a good book, experimenting in the kitchen, playing games and spending time with friends and family (or happily embracing a couch potato day!). She has a very spoilt West Highland Terrier named Scott and a sassy Chihuahua named Robin. One thing she won't be doing? Writing a bucket list—Alex prefers to do the things she loves when the opportunity comes along.
